MUMBAI: Shaheer Sheikh and Sonarika Bhadoria’s Salim Anarkali – Dastaan-e-Mohabbat is finally going on floors.
The magnum opus is produced under Aniruddh Pathak’s Writers Galaxy. The narrative will take viewers through the journey of the immortal love saga of Salim and Anarkali.
According to exclusive information available to business credit, the big-budget show is going on floors from today, 20 July. The project has been delayed for some time. However, with the cast locked down and everything falling into place, the makers have finally decided to start the shooting.
However, Shaheer and Sonarika won’t be shooting for the daily today.
Why? Well, according to a little birdie, the makers are initially shooting the story of the protagonists’ childhood. ‘Right now, only the child artists would be shooting for the show,’ an insider revealed.
Uzair Basir and Naisha Khanna are playing the young titular characters.
Shaheer is currently in Indonesia and will soon return for the shoot.
Aniruddh, who is an expert in the genre, has personally supervised the nitty-gritty of the historical drama.
Shahbaz Khan, Gurdeep Punj, Aruna Irani, Piyush Sahdev, and other actors are also a part of the ensemble cast.
It is expected to go on air by the end of August.
